Your Role

The Field Support section consists of three workgroups. The Power Supply group includes designers, engineers, and technicians who develop, build, and deliver products and system integrations to various customers. Since we often work with the Armed Forces and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration as clients, we frequently encounter military requirements for durability and environmental standards. We provide technical support and training to the Armed Forces' operational organizations. The work involves maintaining technical documentation in the form of production drawings, writing technical reports, and participating in product development. As a designer in Power Supply, you are an important part of the team that provides our customers, both civilian and military, with the products, systems, and sometimes modifications of existing materials they desire.

Your main tasks include but are not limited to:

• Development and design of products and systems for delivery projects.
• Requirements management and verification of compliance.
• Establishing and updating drawings, drawing structures, and system overviews.
• Delivering technical documentation to clients and within Saab AB, together with the team.
• Assisting the client in establishing technical orders and other documentation.
• Based on the client's specifications, designing, documenting, and selecting the right materials for the context.
• Support during testing and verification.

The work may involve some travel, mainly within Sweden.

Your Profile

As a person, you are responsible, proactive, and have good problem-solving skills. You can work independently but also thrive in a team. To enjoy and succeed in the role, you work systematically and meticulously. You have a positive attitude towards working both practically and analytically. You need to be able to plan and manage your daily tasks independently and sometimes take on leading and driving roles in our cases and assignments. We appreciate if you are open, outgoing, and relationship-building.

Qualifications

• At least high school education in electrical/telecommunications/technical direction or relevant knowledge gained from work experience.
• Good knowledge of expressing yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• Familiar with working in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Driver's license at least class B.

Meritorious

• Experience in electrical design in a CAD environment.
• Good knowledge of expressing yourself in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience working in complex, technical projects of varying sizes.
• Experience writing technical reports or similar.
• Good knowledge of electrical-related standards and norms.
• Experience in productization or CE marking.
• Background in the Armed Forces or FMV.
• Completed military service.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
